The new NGKs also stopped this popping noise it would make at idle sometimes found out the spark plugs that were in it were Champions. Now its putting out a little over 300 at 6500 rpm. Im able to see my performance pages on the EVIC cluster, before I was around 270ish with 6500 rpm before next gear shift. The right side of the exhaust hangs a little lower than the left but not a huge notice. I wrapped mine with titanium exhaust wrap. You may have to wrap your cross member bars after installing the exhaust to prevent rattle from hard bumps on the road. I will be ordering new clamps but at this point I have no leaks. Dont use a impact gun on the exuast pipe clamps to tighten them down they will break. It took over three hours to install every component. We had to use a air hammer and rag to remove it right after the cat section. The OEM exhaust was a little pain to remove. The first section of downpipe didn't have the RIPP plaquard welded on as seen in the pictures but it did have one cross member section. He had never heard of Ripp and he's a CDJR certified tech.Įxhaust was very sturdy and good quality. Had a friend of mine do the install at his shop. Coils came in a nice box, only thing that threw me off was the coil plug boots were not attached. I'm just looking to wake my V6 out of the everyday driver coma I bought it in. I'm not looking to be fast or I would've bought a Hemi, even though it's still cheaper to get an SXT and drop in a supercharger than to buy a R/T. My non Ripp modded 0-60 was 5.8s (stock is 6.4s). The throttle response is crazy awesome now and in Sport mode it's even better. It's not a deep growl like a Hemi, so I dubbed mine a Hellwolf V6. All these mods make it sound and feel like a v6 muscle car. My mods so far: K&N Cold air intake, 9-Drive Throttle controller, Borla ATAK exhaust, and now the RIPP coils with NGK Plugs. Do yourself a favor, get a throttle controller, that alone will wake it up. I'm not sure by itself if it's noticeable because the drive by wire throttle response sucks on SXTs. ![]() And this is even after the mods I already added. I was skeptical at first that just coil packs and NGK plugs would be noticeable, I but after a week of driving it I can definitely feel it.
